  • 1.  Enable the Reporting of JMX Metrics?

    Posted Feb 27, 2017 10:55 PM

    Good Morning!
First, I have not used CA-Introsocpe for some time, I noticed some changes.
I need JMX to appear in the Tree, with the agents (SuperDomain)
Following these parts will I be able to activate the JMX?

    Example: Follow these steps:

    1. Open the IntroscopeAgent.profile in a text editor and perform the following steps:
      1. Set introscope.agent.jmx.enable=true.
      2. Add the following property and set it to true: com.wily.introcope.agent.jmx.syncWithAllMbeanServersForcibly=true
      3. Save and close the IntroscopeAgent.profile file.

IntroscopeAgent.profile, Is located in MOM ?

    Olivia:

This is an agent not EM setting. The Introscope Java Agent Guide has more details. See Configure Application Server to Use the Java Agent - CA Application Performance Management - 10.5 - CA Technologies Docu…

and Configure Java Monitoring - CA Application Performance Management - 10.5 - CA Technologies Documentation

    as examples

Please let us know if that was helpful or if you have additional questions

    Thanks

    Hi Olivia:

If the issue is missing JMX metrics, there are various community and articles on this. Here are some links

    https://www.ca.com/us/services-support/ca-support/ca-support-online/knowledge-base-articles.tec1665134.html

    https://docops.ca.com/ca-apm/10-5/en/troubleshooting/agent-troubleshooting/expected-jmx-metrics-not-reported/

Can you share what APM agent release, operating system, application server and release, and Java Vendor and release that you are using?

Are you seeing any errors in the agent or application server log?

    Thanks
