In the Capacity Planning Overview portlet in 14.3, how is Capacity calculated? Individual capacity is 8.0 hours/day for all resources and personal calendars are not used to track time off. We also use a base calendar to track company holidays. Given that, I would expect the capacity for a five-member team to always be 5.00 FTEs but I get 4.76, 4.77, 5.00, 5.48, 5.50, etc. Looking at the Resource Planning: Workloads portlet the numbers (in hours) works out the way I expect.

FTE is calculated with respect to the Calendar marked as Standard in the system. Hence, one possible reason in your case could be, the availability or hours per day of your standard calendar is not 8.
