    Hello. IK.

Please take a look at processes probe to fit your needs.

    Hi YU,

Actually There are couple of services running on the windows servers which are not showing visible in the processes probe. Under process probe we can only see the processes and their instances.

I am looking for a way to configure the service monitoring for unix servers. NTServices probe is only for Windows boxes.

What is the other way? do we need to configure manual profile under processes probe and check the status? There must be some way around.

    Any suggestions are really appreciated.

    Regards,

    IK

Ntservices is used to monitor the Windows services .It will show the services same as services.msc console.NTservices and processes probe both can be used in windows server.

Only processes probe is used in linux servers

"What is the other way? do we need to configure manual profile under processes probe and check the status? There must be some way around."->You want to monitor all processes? Or you want to monitor certain process in some set of server,if means create a package.

You need to use the ntservices probe to monitor services on Windows servers.  Underlying Linux "services" are processes.  There are no probes that will monitor Linux "services".  You would have to monitor the underlying process that the Linux service kicks off with the processes probe.

If agentless remote monitoring is OK then check out the rsp probe.
