CA Service Management

Hi Team,

We are upgrading the system from r12.6 to r14.1, m following TEC578669 for the same. I wanted to understand why the steps 14-15 of part 2 is required, what if I ignore these 2 steps & go ahead with the upgrade, then post upgrade, i'll place these files in the respective location. Will this cause any issue? What does migration script do to these files?

Just curious.

Also, we have used SQL 2008 in our swing env.. do we have to upgrade sql to 2014(since we are installing SQL 2014 in UAT & Prod env) or can we just place the 2008 mdb in the 2014 system.
