Hi Guys,

I have downloaded the robot setup from uimserver homepage and installed on one system however I am getting the below error. Could someone suggest in this?

E:\Setups for Robot\nms-robot-vars.cfg was not found.
Config file "E:\Program Files\Nimsoft\robot\robot.cfg" will not be created and robot will not be started.

quick question, do you have the file name of the package or the URL where you downloaded this from?

Hi Imran,

if you are using the "nimsoft-robot-x64.exe" or "nimsoft-robot.exe", please check the following part of the documentation:

Deploy Robots in Bulk with a Third-Party Tool and Native Installers - CA Unified Infrastructure Management - 8.5 - CA Te… 

Basically, the folder with the executable needs to contain the answer file  nms-robot-vars.cfg and it needs to follow the syntax detailed in the documentation.

Hi Martin,

Thanks for the link. However I have to install nimsoft agent on couple of server manually. I have the older version setup and that setup is working fine.

I would appreciate if someone could share the latest robot setup link to download. The one available in archive is asking for password when tried to unzip.

Dear Imran,

you cannot use the zip file directly from the archive in this fashion. Instead, please download the package from the UIM home page, found at this address:

http://<UIMserverIP>/uimhome/installers.jsp 

The latest robot package is also available for download via support.ca.com or support.nimsoft.com. Here is a direct link:

http://nmscdn.nimsoft.com/CAUIM_8.5.1-GA/NimBUS%20Robot.exe

Hi Martin,

Please correct me if wrong, This setup is for infrasturcture nimbus robot and not for nimsoft robot for monitoring machine.

This will install the robot, hub and distsrv,

Please try to remove all the nimsoft software from OS (Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features).
