CA Service Management

I am trying to change this field from auto-populating with the name and id of the person filling out the form (Requested By), to fill in with a name and id chosen by a dropdown on the form itself, which I can do via JQuery.

The problem is that it is being overwritten after hitting Submit.

I'd rather not have to write a PAM process to do this.

Any advice?

When I view the HTML source, the field seems to change IDs after Submit from "req_for_user_id" to "requested_for".

There is a post about doing this from back in 2014, but it doesn't seem to have a resolution, or maybe I just don't get it?

Unfortunately you'll need to use a web service call back to service catalog to update the requested for user.. See this thread to get an idea of how to accomplish this using Pam.
