DX Unified Infrastructure Management

Hi,

For the NetApp E-series we are looking for a probe to monitor these and receive the metrics.

For the time being, we only receive SNMP traps, we we need more information form these NetApp E-series in order to get more control.

Anyone who has a solution?

Maybe The NetApp Data ONTAP Monitoring (netapp_ontap) probe remotely monitors the health and performance of storage objects and systems running Data ONTAP 8.2x, 8.3x, and 9.x versions in the Cluster mode.

Unfortunately the NetApp E-series is not running ONTAP, so the NetApp_Ontap Probe can't be used here.

Thank you for your response.

The NetApp Probe can only be used to configure it for NetApp Ontap 7.2x to 8.1 c-mode and 7-mode operating systems.

The NetApp E-series is a Block Storage, which is different from the regular NetApp storage systems, which are File oriented storage systems.

So the NetApp Probe and NetApp_Ontap Probe can't be used to monitor the E-series of NetApp.

NetApp acquired LSI storage division, name Enginio, which was branded E-series under NetApp. The BU was kept separate from the FAS storage line, and is sold both branded as NetApp and as OEM by many others.

So basically I'm looking for a Probe to monitor the following simular storage systems:

* Dell PowerVault

* IBM DS3***, DS4***, DS5***

* LSI

* NetApp E-Series array
