    Hi Ahmed;

Unless you intentionally obfuscated the username in your screenshot it doesn't look like you're entering a complete Agile Central username. Your username would generally be your account email address and I don't see an email domain specified in the username field. You might want to confirm that you're entering the username and password in the exact format in which you enter them in Agile Central.

Also, if you normally use SSO and you're not a whitelisted exception user then you need to use SSO in the Excel Add-In as well. Instructions on that are at CA Agile Central Add-in for Excel Installation & User Guide | CA Agile Central Help . Hope that helps.

    Mohammed,

The CA Agile Central Subscription uses SSO for Authentication.  You will need to select the Single Sign-On (SSO) option to connect and use an updated URL as described in the document Eric linked.  I'll open a case for you and we'll send the specific URL for CA.

    Hi Michael,

I am able to connect Rally from excel using the following URL:

    https://sso.rallydev.com/sp/startSSO.ping?PartnerIdpId=samlgwsm.ca.com&TargetResource=https://rally1.rallydev.com/slm/j_sso_security_check?noRedirect=true

    Thanks for the help.

    Regards

    Irfan

    Hi Afroze,

You will need to change the URL to be:

    - Your subscription's SSO url , concatenated with this:

    &TargetResource=https://rally1.rallydev.com/slm/j_sso_security_check?noRedirect=true

So, for example if your subscription's SSO url is: "https://myssourl.com" then your URL for that text box should be: https://myssourl.com&TargetResource=https://rally1.rallydev.com/slm/j_sso_security_check?noRedirect=true

I prefer not to write your actual subscription's SSO URL here cause it's a public page and visible to everyone in this community. You can contact your sub-admins to find it, or otherwise open up a support case with us and we'll provide it to you.

    Thanks,

    Sagi

Our users are experiencing the same error. I've tried to append the redirect as described above "

    - Your subscription's SSO url , concatenated with this:

    &TargetResource=https://rally1.rallydev.com/slm/j_sso_security_check?noRedirect=true"

But we are still getting an error.

This is the URL we have after Rally's migration from Ping to Okta:

    https://avagoext.okta.com/sso/saml2/0oa1h7vjjw0l88TCc1d8?fromURI=/app/broadcomincexternal_rally_1/exk1gdbaindeR1Jrj1d8/sso/saml

I tried this, but it doesn't work:

FYI, we use Azure as our IdP

    Hi Alex,

We tested many variations to get the RelayState correct before reaching out to Rally Support, and their message back indicates to me that it's not a matter of end user configuration but rather a lack of backend configuration on their part to integrate correctly with Okta.

Rally SSO tech's message to us:

"Please update this information to all users, that Plugin 2.4.4 is having issues with the OKTA authentication.  2.4.4 is a very old plugin & obsolete and doesn't support all the SSO protocols. So please ask all of your users to use the latest plugin called Excel 365 instead of 2.4.4

Thank you for the response Mike,
I have installed this beta version of the plugin. In order to connect to Rally thru pulgin from excel, we need to provide the sso URL right?
Not sure what should I put there now?
    I have earlier is
    "https://sso.rallydev.com/sp/startSSO.ping?PartnerIdpId=https://sts.windows.net/xxxxxxxxxx/&TargetResource=https://rally1.rallydev.com/slm/j_sso_security_check?noRedirect=true"

    I tried using,
    1) https://avagoext.okta.com/sso/saml2/xxxxxxxxxxxxx?PartnerIdpId=https://sts.windows.net/exxxxxxx/&fromURI=https://avagoext.okta.com/app/broadcomincexternal_rally_1/xxxxxxxx/sso/saml&TargetResource=https://rally1.rallydev.com/slm/j_sso_security_check?noRedirect=true

    2) https://avagoext.okta.com/sso/saml2/xxxxxxxx?PartnerIdpId=https://sts.windows.net/xxxxxxxx/&fromURI=https://avagoext.okta.com/app/broadcomincexternal_rally_1/xxxxxxxxx/sso/saml&TargetResource=https://rally1.rallydev.com/slm/j_saml_security_check?noRedirect=true

Both of them are not working. Can you please help me?

I'm not exactly sure because I don't use the plugin, but this is what a user supplied to me:

"The desktop add-in no longer works with the new SSO, so I downloaded the Office365 plugin that you suggested. This plugin does not require a URL since the authorization and connection is handled when first logging into...[SSO provider]. Note: Users will need to reupload the add-in every time they login, but their queries are saved in local storage."
