    Question:

     

    I run the Policy Server and this one reports error :

     

      [7828/8908][Fri Feb 10 2017 13:13:13][CLicense.cpp:151][INFO][sm-Server-01020]
      Returning from Get Licenses, license bits = 0
      [7828/8908][Fri Feb 10 2017 13:13:13][CLicense.cpp:258][ERROR][sm-Server-00990]
      Evaluation period has expired

     

    What are the impacts of this error log line ?


    Environment:


    Policy Server 12.52SP2CR01 on Windows 2012 R2 64bit;

     

    Answer:

     

      You can discard those lines.

     

      Policy Server 12.52SP1CR01 does not require license file for its functionality.
      "Evaluation period has expired" does not influence SiteMinder functionality
      and cannot trigger SiteMinder Policy Server malfunction in that version.
