    Hi Shiva,

As advised on the recent support case. CA PPM 13.3 is in the supported upgrade paths for release 15.2. Hence there should not be an issue performing an upgrade to 15.2 directly.

For the new proposed OS for 15.2. PPM 13.3 was officially certified to run on Windows Server 2012 standard (non R2 OS version). CA PPM 15.2 is certified on Windows 2012 R2 Standard. There may not be much of a problem with having the new OS as a prerequisite OS for the 15.2 upgrade.

And for the new Database server. CA PPM 15.2 is supported on Microsoft SQL Server 2012 Enterprise Edition (Service Pack 2 or higher service pack). Post-upgrade PPM 15.2, you can safely upgrade the SQL server to Microsoft SQL Server 2014 Enterprise Edition (Service Pack 1 or higher Service Pack). This would be ideal upgrade path as CA Clarity PPM 13.3 was not certified for Microsoft SQL Server 2014.

    Thanks much,
    Sanish

With my current version of DB MS SQL server 2012 R1 can I kick off the upgrade to 15.2 and then upgrade the database to MS SQL Server 2014? Or before upgrade kicks off the DB should be in MS SQL server 2012 R2?

    Thanks,

    Shiva

You need to upgrade your database and then upgrade to 15.2
