How to manage Test Cases when Steps and Expected Results are different across environments

    What is the recommended way to manage Test Cases when the Steps and Expected Results are different across Dev and Test environments?

    At the moment creating a new Test Case is the only obvious answer, but this is bad because updating the Steps across multiple cases will become more effort than it should be, and sometimes one case can be out-of-date with respect to the same case for the other environment.

    Thanks,

    Willie

    Hi Willie;

    You can probably infer from the lack of replies that there's no better way to handle this than to have separate test cases. If the steps and expected results are both different then logically you're looking at different test cases, full stop. Wish I had a better suggestion for you but there you have it.
