I did a custom version of the Schedule Dashboard, In this dashboard we can drill down from project to task.  We have an attribute Call Project/WBS... that show either project Name or task name. When we click on the "Project/WBS" it either bring us to a project if the line item is a project or a task if the line item is a task.

I just could not  recreate this "Project or Task Properties" Link.

If I drill down in the Link Setting from the original query... action show as not selected... but actually doing the good job

Anyone have an idea how I could create an action to work per this out of the box portlet.

Just wondering if that possible at all...

If you look at the "URL" that is displayed at the bottom

for a project

for a task

It is not the standard type URL (http:// or https://) which you normally would have when you create a link.

Javascript to me suggests that there is java involved which helps you to go to the right place regardless whether it is a project or a task.

If that is the case a user cannot do that.

Putting a trace might confirm that.
