  • 1.  Cdm CPU stats for Solaris

    Hi all,

For soalris, cdm executes mpstat command to get CPU stats, now my question is that the output is shown for the global zone or local zones ?

I'm a bit confused as I see for some servers which are of same global zone have almost the same CPU stats.

    Regards,

    Ankur

Where do you have the cdm probe installed?

mpstat - When executing in a zone and if the pools facility is active, mpstat(1M) will only provide information for those processors which are a member of the processor set of the pool to which the zone is bound

logically you should get the stats of Non-Global Zones if cdm is on a VM

Well it is installed on the local zone as the robot is configured with the IP of local zone ( I guess that's makes under local zone )

Is there a config on cdm by which we get the stats for the particular pool ? As of now its showing me same values for the same zone servers.

Try checking through probe config, select the cdm probe and ctrl+p . see what info you see here .

Also try running the mpstat command directly on the VM and see the result
