  • 1.  Service Desk 11.2 to 14.1 or 17.0

    1.is its possible to load(PDM or SQL ) database of CASDM 11.2 (SQL-2005)in fresh Server installed 14.1 or 17.0 CASDM (SQL-2012)???

    2. If yes which steps we need to follow to load 11.2 complete database in fresh installed 14.1 or 17.0 CASDM.

    You cannot use a SDM 11.2 MDB with CA SDM 14.1 or 17.0.

     

    You would need to upgrade the MDB to the correct level.

    Hi,

    As you shared the doc .Its for 12.7 /12.X  to 14.1.

     

    How we can migrate from 11.2 to  Latest without disturbing Current 11.2 setup.

    The link provided by Paul Coccimiglio has the necessary information for you do that. In a nutshell:

     - replicate the existing 11.2 installation to a new system (Swing Box), including the underlying DB.

     - run the migration on this new machine and then proceed to check and re-customize (if needed) the system.
