  • 1.  Move operation not working.

    Hi Team,

We are using cloning process to deploy ITCA agent across all the agents in our environment. This cloning process has two stages ,firstly pre-build which has ITCA agent image to install and configure it one of our domain manager. In second stage, we run post build script to point those agents to respective domain managers.which is working as expected.

Now, The problem we are facing here is, Once the post build script is run it is moving the agents to respective domain managers, But not deleting the entry from domain manager where it was pointing too,We could see duplicate entries on the Enterprise manager for same machine from two domain managers.

Basically move operation between one domain manager to other domain managers is not working. Do we need to run any SQL script or maintenance script to clean up the entries.

    Environment details :

    EM/DM :12.9
    SCS: 12.8
    Agents :12.8

    Your help is highly appreciated.

    Thanks!

Firstly, verify that the two Domains can communicate. Run 'camping' and 'caf ping' between the two domains in both directions. The move process cannot work unless the two domains can communicate.

Second, once you have verified the two domains can communicate, check in the 'System Delivery Engine'. There should be a Computer Mover task in this engine which will have a status listed. Validate that the task is there and check its status. If it is failing the failures should be listed.
