  • 1.  CA UIM Robot - Minimum Network Bandwidth Requirement

    Posted May 19, 2017 06:48 AM

    Hi Team,

I need to know the minimum network bandwidth required between a robot and Primary hub over WAN.

Considering there are no monitoring probes deployed and only default probes (controller, hdb and spooler) are running.

    Thanks & Regards,

    Sumeet Hooda

    Hi,

I don't have exact number but with no probes, it would be minimal communication. Just the check to see if the robot is there from the connecting hub.

    Thanks

A robot is generally not much use if it has not monitoring on it.

as a general rule of thumb support suggest nothing less that a 250 KiloByte connection.

However this will completely depend on the probes installed.

    size of configuration files

number of metrics being collect and how often.

this will need to be properly tested in the environment to come up with hard numbers.
