  • 1.  NAS clean shutdown

    Hello,

Is there a way to cleanly stop NAS when stopping Nimsoft ? I mean waiting for lua scripts to finish before stopping, when a stop is submitted.

On our infrstructure, we see that kind of message :

nas: (AO) failed to execute script '******.lua', error: script interrupted.

    Regards.

Not sure we can shutdown NAS in such controlled way , normally the AO gets triggered based on the Alarm that gets generated . Would be tricky to exactly identify the script being run and wait until it executes before shutting down

    Thanks.

So, to avoid the script errors, do you think we could stop the hub probe before the NAS ? In that way, there are no new alarms triggering the AO ?

    Regards.

    You would be safer.

    1. Deactivate alarm_enrichment probe so that we can ensure no new alarms to come down to nas.

    2. Deactivate nas probe.

    3. Shutdown Primary HUB

    Hi,

Not sure if we can shutdown nas properly (maybe by triggering the callback _stop). If you stop the NAS with the controller probe, NAS take to much time to stop properly so the controller kill NAS.exe after few seconds.

So that create big problem on SQL table synchronisation (AO are not the biggest problem of brutal shutdown ^^).
