    Hi People!,

    I've installed Browser Agent and I followed documentation

    Install the Browser Agent - CA Application Performance Management - 10.3 - CA Technologies Documentation

    But I can't see any metrics related with it. I've enabled cookies in App Server and Browser IE 11 but they still don't appears

    What version of APM? Depending on the version you may see it listed as Digital Experience Collector  (DxC).

    Look at my last comment and go to the wiki and install DxC.

    Is it only available for 10.5?

    No, the DxC is available for 10.3. It did change with 10.5 and is now called .CA Experience Collector (CEC).

    Again, check the doc for your version. I can't remember offhand if DxC is a separate download from APM.

    Hi Osvaldo,

    Experience Collector (DxC) was introduced in 10.5 indeed.

    I would check if IE has "compatibility mode" enabled or not (see our 10.3 comp. guide to see the supported browsers and versions).

    If that is fine I would suggest to try in different browser (eg: Firefox, Chrome) and use development tools (F12 key) to find out if the snippet has been inserted successfully.

    Other than that I would check the troubleshooting described in the guide:

    Browser Agent Troubleshooting - CA Application Performance Management - 10.3 - CA Technologies Documentation

    Browser Metrics Do Not Appear - CA Application Performance Management - 10.3 - CA Technologies Documentation

    Regards,

    Jose

    I'm checking the trobuleshooting list and I'd like more info about this items:

          I guess it should be inserted in page like here

             <head>
    <title>Ticket Monster</title>
    <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8">
    <meta name="viewport" content="width=device-width, initial-scale=1, user-scalable=no">
    <script type="text/javascript" src="resources/js/libs/modernizr-2.8.3.min.js"></script>
    <script type="text/javascript" src="resources/js/libs/require.js" data-main="resources/js/configurations/loader"></script>
    <script type="text/javascript" charset="utf-8" async="" data-requirecontext="_" data-requiremodule="loader" src="resources/js/configurations/loader.js">
    </script><script type="text/javascript" charset="utf-8" async="" data-requirecontext="_" data-requiremodule="desktop" src="resources/js/configurations/desktop.js"></script>
    <script type="text/javascript" charset="utf-8" async="" data-requirecontext="_" data-requiremodule="jquery" src="resources/js/libs/jquery-2.0.3.js"></script>
    <script type="text/javascript" charset="utf-8" async="" data-requirecontext="_" data-requiremodule="router" src="resources/js/app/router/desktop/router.js"></script>
    <link rel="stylesheet" href="resources/css/bootstrap.css" type="text/css" media="all"><link rel="stylesheet" href="resources/css/bootstrap-theme.css" type="text/css" media="all">
    <link rel="stylesheet" href="resources/css/screen.css" type="text/css" media="all"><link href="http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Rokkitt" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css">
    <script type="text/javascript" charset="utf-8" async="" data-requirecontext="_" data-requiremodule="utilities" src="resources/js/app/utilities.js"></script>
    <script type="text/javascript" charset="utf-8" async="" data-requirecontext="_" data-requiremodule="app/models/booking" src="resources/js/app/models/booking.js"></script>
    <script type="text/javascript" charset="utf-8" async="" data-requirecontext="_" data-requiremodule="app/models/event" src="resources/js/app/models/event.js"></script>
    <script type="text/javascript" charset="utf-8" async="" data-requirecontext="_" data-requiremodule="app/models/venue" src="resources/js/app/models/venue.js"></script>
    <script type="text/javascript" charset="utf-8" async="" data-requirecontext="_" data-requiremodule="app/collections/bookings" src="resources/js/app/collections/bookings.js"></script>
    <script type="text/javascript" charset="utf-8" async="" data-requirecontext="_" data-requiremodule="app/collections/events"
    </head>

       But it doesn't.

    • Review the agent logs to verify the apmbrowseragent.js file location

             Where it should be placed?

    • Verify if the apmbrowseragent.js file is downloading from the application server from the snippet.js file. If not, deploy the Browser Agent JavaScript to a different location.

             It's not clear for me

    Hi Osvaldo,

    If “WilyCmd” is not appearing in the source code of the page and “?WilyCmd=cmdJS” not appearing in development tools (Network tab) more likely the snippet is not inserted and the agent logs (config/logs directory - introscopeagent.log) should tell why the snippet is not inserted. Also by enabling trace logging would give more details:

    log4j.logger.IntroscopeAgent.BrowserAgent=TRACE#com.wily.util.feedback.Log4JSeverityLevel, logfile

    Regards,

    Jose

    From teh install link previously submitted

    Install the Browser Agent - CA Application Performance Management - 10.2 - CA Technologies Documentation

      • The <Agent_Home>/examples/APM/BrowserAgent/js directory contains the JavaScript files: snippet.js, apmbrowseragent.js, and apmbrowseragentextensibility.js. By default, the Browser Agent packages these files in the BrowserAgentExt.jar file that is located in the /ext directory. In the js directory, all JavaScript text is not formatted and spaced. In the BrowserAgentExt.jar, the text is truncated (for example, minified). You can configure different file locations for the snippet.js file and the apmbrowseragentextensibility.js file. The apmbrowseragentextensibility.js file is a template file that you can use for JavaScript extensions.
