I need to deal with project files (many kinds of files) into a project execution life phase (to evaluate engenniring maturity of project products). Does anyone have experience with this kind of situation? I will deal with approximately 7 GB of files per project. I'm afraid about performance and consistency.

    Thanks in advance.

How about tracking the info as sub-objects of project object ?

This way, you can create portlets/reports as well from the desired data

Depending on the type of files and what you want to do with them is storing them in Sharepoint and using the CA PPM Sharepoint connection an option?

Is storing them elsewhere in systems that can handle the amount of data and the number of files and just having link fields in CA PPM an option?

If you are talking about 7 Gigs consider the standard attachment size 20 Megs when you look at your options.
