    Hello,

Even after removing the oracle probe below alerts are still reporting in console. We tried to reinstall the agent but no luck. OS version where the agent is installed is RHEL6.7. Previously we configured the oracle RAC monitoring on Servers and connection was working fine, we see the issue only after the password reset. Anyhow we have disabled/removed the oracle probe. But still the below alert form oracle probe is recurring. Kindly assist on what could be cause for recurring of alerts and any troubleshooting steps.

    ALERT details are as below
    Profile ***: ORA-01017: invalid username/password; logon denied

Profile ***, cannot connect to database: (ORA-01017: invalid username/password; logon denied )

On both nodes above alerts are repeating even though oracle probe doesn't exist.

    Thanks in advance

Now we are getting two more new alerts
Failed to re-open log file oracle_monitor.log 5 times. Logging is deactivated. Error: No such file or directory

May be you have another connection to this Oracle DB configured from a remote host for monitoring ? Oracle probe does not need to be installed on the host to monitor the DB , the connection can also be configured for remote monitoring from another host.

May be this is triggering the alerts ?

    Hello Phani,

    Thanks for your reply.

The alerts showing up in alarm window is using the same host name and IP where the probe was deployed and if it is configured remotely then it would have taken the host name of the remote server but here its not triggering the alert with remote server name. Even the alerts are getting suppressed with suppression key as check_db alive but we have deleted the oracle probe from the server. Kindly assist if i need to follow any other steps to fix the issue.
