  • 1.  Change Catalog and xFlow server

    Posted Jun 04, 2017 07:52 PM

    Hello,

As a first instance the company installed in the same server: SDM 14.1 + Service Catalog 14.1 + xFlow.

Now, I was asked to move Service Catalog and xFlow to a specific server for each one.

Any idea of how can I achieve this sharing the same mdb?

    Thanks!

    Hi Raghu,

Thanks for your answer but I'm not moving all the mdb... I'm just wondering if I could install Service Catalog and xFlow in another server for each one and uninstall them from the server that they were initially installed in order to leave SDM alone with a dedicated server.

    Thanks!

    Hey Kevin,

Sorry about the delay and misunderstanding earlier.

What you could do is, to take a backup of the MDB database first.

    a) install Catalog on a new node

    b) install SDM secondary on a new node, and add xFlow component there

    c) uninstall Catalog + xFlow on old node

    d) clean up the database about the old servers  by using dbcleanuputility (How the DBCleanup.exe utility works in Service Desk )

    Hope this helps
