  • 1.  How to set Origin to the Interfaces in a Network Device?

    Hi,

I would like to know how to assign Origin to Interfaces in a Network Device (say router). Objective is to give access to  interfaces to the intended users. I tried with Groups, but for that i will have to give access to the whole devices & i don't want to give access to the whole device to all the users. I just want to give one or few interface access to a particular Users.

Sorry if this question is already asked & answered, but i couldn't find any solution yet.

    I'm using CA UIM 8.4.

    Thanks

How do you collect data from this interfaces? I mean, do you use the probe "snmpget"?

I think you can use scripts from qos_processor to enrich the qos messages.

    1) qos_processor IM Configuration - CA Unified Infrastructure Management Probes - CA Technologies Documentation

    2) How to use qos_processor to enrich/modify QoS messages

To alarms, you can use AO from NAS to run a lua script that enrich the fields like origin, user_tag1, etc...

I have one example for NAS lua script, I can send to you if you want.
