Dear All,

I am upgrading our UIM test environment from 8.5 to 8.51 and after the upgrade I am seeing that new a probe is deployed to the primary hub, the EMS probe(Event management services).

On this environment we have a secondary hub to be the failover hub to the primary.

My question is, do we need also to deploy the ems probe into the secondary hub? if yes do we need extra work on the  configuration of the probe?

Hi Ruis

The EMS probe is now deployed by default in readiness for future use and spectrum integration.

So it is best to deploy it to keep the secondary in line with the primary.

Make sure you deploy the alarm_routing_service (this runs under trellis and routes the alarms to the nas and/or ems - default should be nas) and make sure your queues are the same on the secondary as they are on the primary.

Just quick summary I will then deploy the following probes packages to the failover Hub:

   - ems

   - nas_api_service 8.51

   - alarm_routing_service
