When creating an asset, the customer desires to have the Serial Number field in the Asset record auto-populate the Asset Name field.

There is no functionality OOTB to handle this scenario, however this would be a great "Idea / Enhancement Request"

I believe a script could be created that may handle this but that is Out of the Scope of support and you would need to speak with your CA Account Mgr that may request CA Services for you.
