  • 1.  CA API Dev Portal v4 : external DB engine

    Hi folks,

     

    The APIm platform I am in charge of is constituted of API Gwt 9.2 and Dev Portal 3.5.

    I am studying the impacts of migrating the portal to the last 4.1 version.

     

    This ticket is focus on DB. I only have Maria DB vms available for external DB storage. Is any of you already tried to install the v4 portal over this type of engine ? My company can't afford to buy and install a MySQL entreprise server, specifically for the APIm portal ..

    Hi FrederickMiszewski ,

     

    Ca API Devloper portal 4.1 supports only the following databases. 

     

    • 5.5.48-enterprise-commercial-advanced-log MySQL Enterprise Server - Advanced Edition (Commercial)
    • 5.5.53-enterprise-commercial-advanced-log MySQL Enterprise Server

    If another db is used to install portal, then it may not be supported by CA support.

    Hi,

    So far as I know, there should be no upgrade/migrate path from portal 3.5 to portal 4.x
