I am attempting to point users using the internal and external URLs to the same image and attachment repository. Is it possible to do this?

Currently, the repositories are set for the internal URL.

I had created a different repository using the external URL and it works.

I am using Service Desk version 12.6.

Just a quick note first - 12.6 has went end of support nearly three years ago - we highly recommend upgrading to a current version of the product such as 14.1 or R17.0 so that we can fully support you.

As for your question - the internal URLs will not work because the external users will not be able to get to the servlet running internally.  If the internal folks can get to the external URLs, then the best option would be to set up an external repository URL and have both internal and external users access that repository.
