  • 1.  Audit sink policy failed.  What causes this message?

In our TEST environment, the Gateway audit logs, every record is accompanied with another record that says "Audit sink policy failed; status = 600".  We run a cron job that clears audit messages more than 3 days old.  At present, the database contains less than 2000 audit records.  We only record audit events if errors occur.

audit.adminThreshold, audit.detailThreshold and audit.messageThreshold are all set to WARNING.  audit.sink.fallbackToInternal is set to true.  The Internal Audit Sink Policy exists on the gateway; however, we have not commented out the "Route via HTTP" assertion.

We do not see the "Audit sink policy failed; status = 600" record in our DEV environment.  The Internal Audit Sink Policy is the same in both environments.

    Thanks for your help.

The error message that you are seeing occurs if any error occurs in the audit sink policy. This could include missing custom assertions , invalid context variables, etc. The best way to clear this is to remove all assertions from the audit sink policy and add a continue processing assertion.
