As a team we have been managing our portofolio items by Kanban approach.

We noticed this issues using CA Agile Central:

The work items are counted by numbers:

Request: Is it possible to show the items by their story points instead of their number, as a rate to measure the team velocity?

I haven't tried it yet but you might look at the custom Work Item Throughput app in the Rally Community repositories on GitHub. It looks as though it should give you the answer that you need. Hope that helps.

I have my teams enter the current Release, and Iteration, and add points (in Days) when they Accept a story. It is really easy when you have already finished the work.  Then all the Scrum report, except the burn-down work.
