    Hi,

I've tested this pack and got some problems with GnSNMPDev devices:

A F5 device (OID: 1.3.6.1.4.1.3375.2.1.3.4.61) will be modeled as "GeneralElectricUPS".

A Cisco SF300 device (OID: 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.6.1.82.24.1) will be modeled as "MitsubishiUPS".

    Regards, Frank

Did you run through post install steps?

Can you open a support case to let's the guys look at it a little closer?

Are there any other device identification type configurations on the SpectroSERVER?  We will probably need a simulation of each device and maybe a copy of your db.

    Hi,

The readme for the patches state that it requires 10.2.1 for installation.

    ftp://ftp.ca.com/pub/CA-SPECTRUM/Updates/GA/Spectrum_10.02.01.Cert_Pack_001/ReleaseNote.10.02.01.Cert_Pack_001.txt

Are these not supported for 10.2 installations?

That is correct, the r10.2 device cert pack was only built for r10.2.1, so you must install the 10.2.1 service pack before installing 10.02.01.Cert_Pack_001.

Please be sure to also review the 10.2.1 patch list doc for any patches that may be recommended (i.e. PTF_10.2.103 and PTF_10.2.118) or that you feel you will need.

I also have some funny behavior with gensnmp models thinking

they are GeneralElectric or Mitusbishi UPS's. Seems to only be

a handful of my devices which are gensnmp devices.

I tried updating the definitions, then the different model alarms

automagically went away but now are back. I upgraded to 10.2.1 from 10.2.0

then the 2 recommended patches then the certification pack. newmm.pl did NOT find any new devices

(odd I thought). Prior to this upgrade the gensnmp devices were ok.

    We are in the process of updating the CA Spectrum Solutions & Patches Indexes with links to a rebuild of the Device Certification Packs to fix this problem.  The rebuilt packs can be found on our ftp server at these links;

    Spectrum_10.02.01.Cert_Pack_001a

    Spectrum_10.01.02.Cert_Pack_001a

    Spectrum_10.00.01.Cert_Pack_002a

In these folders is the checksum files, Release Note and FAQs doc along with the executables for each OS.

No, those are for different versions of Spectrum…The first is for 10.2.1, the second is for 10.1.2 and the third is for 10.0.01

In regards to the GE modeling issue…

That cert pack has this oid specified for the GE modeltype:

GE Digital Energy UPS           1.3.6.1.4.1.818.1.100.1.2       IMV Victron bv                  Enhanced

If you launch the Tools -> Utilities -> Device Certification and filter for the 3560, what oid is it showing?  Also, what oid shows for the GE modeltype?

I installed the cert pack and modeled both devices and they come up properly and my device certification gui shows them properly as well.

    Cheers

    Jay

My device certification is  not synced at the moment, but the sOID is 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.1.2136 for the Model type name UPS_ GeneralElectric

One more note.  One of my Landscape servers is able to model these devices correctly with the gnSNMPdev instead of the UPS_ GeneralElectric model type name.

My server people have added the latest patches for 10.2 and are still getting these switches that are registering as GE UPS.  What's the fix?

    Hi Mike,

Did you upgrade to Spectrum 10.2.1 and patches?  What do you have for patches, can you post a copy of your <$SPECROOT>/Install-Tools/.history file?

This patch seems to be the reason for the error.  The GE Digital Energy UPS with  SYSOid 1.3.6.1.4.1.818.1.100.1.2  is replacing Cisco 3560CX SYSOid

It's the patch 10.02.01.Cert_Pack_001a that overwriting the sysoid for all our Cisco 3560CX switches and making them GE power supplies.
