    Hi,

I am following the steps mentioned on Docops for the installation of CA TDM 4.2 which has vTDM functionality

As per the steps mentioned, I have installed VMware client and created 1 VM on VMWare, but I am not able to connect to the VM from VMWare client . I tried to search on  the internet and looks like there are few configurations needs to be done on VM as well as on physical machine which I am unsure about.

Would you be able assist me here?

    Error screenshot attacjed.

    Hi Swapnil,

I am posting the answer you received from Sean-K-CA:

From the screenshot it looks like you are getting an error attempting to connect from the vSphere client. That is generally used to connect to the vCenter or ESX server. Once logged in to vCenter or ESX, you can then open a console session to the VM. Otherwise, you would access the VM just as you would a standard system; RDP, SSH, etc. In this case it’s a *NIX based OS, so you would use SSH.

If you are having problems connecting to your vCenter or ESX, you’ll need to contact VMware for further assistance.

Please let us know if this helps.

    Best regards,

    Taylor
