CA Service Management

  • 1.  Installation of CA Service Catalog 12.9

    Hi Community,

     

    I am trying to configure the new Service Catalog 12.9 with  existing 'mdb' database, configuration got failed and thrown an exception in Configure MDB step.

     

    Is there any prerequisites steps should follow. please share any knowledge documents or procedure to achieve this.

    Hi Venkat

     

    Can you tell us which CA product created the MDB (and also which version of the product)? It may be that the version of the MDB is not compatible with Service Catalog 12.9.

     

    Which CA products currently use this MDB?

    The mdb was used for CASDM 12.9

    CA SC 12.9

    ITAM.


    Now i m creating replica of production environment as Development environment

    Thanks Venkat - I'd recommend following this up through the case you've opened with CA Support; the problem with the MDB deployment appearing to trip up over the existing 12.9 Catalog server definitions is something you'll want specific instructions on cleanup, I suspect.

    The issue is with the Database user access privileges, I have granted dbcreator, diskadmin, serveradmin, setupadmin and sysadmin. afterwards the configuration completed successfully.
