  • 1.  How do you get time slice data into the datawarehouse?

    Posted Aug 09, 2017 10:50 AM

If I run the Load Data Warehouse job during the day, time sliced data gets messed up/dropped. The nightly jobs correct the problem.

What else do I need to do to get Daily/Weekly/Monthly/Fiscal period data to load when refreshing the data warehouse during the day?

I am using CA PPM v14.3

    Hi Steve,

Can you please elaborate more on "messed up". Also do you run full sync during night and increamental during day? What is the PPM patch level in 14.3?

We are running 14.3.0.298 on the CA PPM SaaS platform.

I just took over as our CA PPM Admin it looks like we run a full load every night and the daily ones are incremental.

One specific that that gets "messed up" is the monthly availability of resources. Lots of these values get zeroed out, but not all of them.

Will running a full load fix my issue?

    Hi Steve,

There are few pre requisite for timeslices for DWH, and also 14.3 there were few issues so I would like you to

    1. Check the pre requisite https://docops.ca.com/ca-ppm/15-2/en/reference/ca-ppm-jobs-reference#CAPPMJobsReference-LoadDataWarehouse  and ensure the timeslice is configured correctly

    2. Ensure timeslice completes successfully

    3. Run the DWH in full syc

    4. Run the DWH incremental and see where you see the mismatch

Also plan to upgrade as soon a possible.
