    PAM Version 4.3 SP01

Email interactions with an Office365.com account using IMAP-SSL

It is known that deleting an email in IMAP only flags the email for deletion. To remove the deleted email you use the Email Purge Folder operator. But that operator fails with the message "Expunge operation is not supported in POP3 protocol; use delete operation to delete and expunge". This is particularly strange in that the operator only allows Protocol for Connection as IMAP or IMAP-SSL.

    Hi Lindsay,

I like your Curling stone profile picture.

For IMAP protocols, the delete operator just sets a flag as DELETED and then you do need to use PurgeFolder operator to delete the DELETE flagged messages.  Please also see below:

    Thank you.

Lindsay, I tested this quickly against a outlook365 IMAP mailbox and it appears to be working without issue:

If you want to post your operator configuration and other email related settings maybe we can point out where this is going wrong.

For reference here are my working settings:

    Thanks Michael,

My configuration looks ok. Here is the operator dataset:

I will ask my client if he wants to open a support case for this.
