  • 1.  Migrate Policy Store

    Hi Team,

     

    I am planning to migrate Policy Store hosted on MS ADLDS from Windows 2008 server to Windows 2012 server.

    CAn you tell me what is best tool to migrate Policy Store - is it XPSExport , XPSImport tool? or is there any other tool?

    Any challenge in migration?

    Also this is from SM R12.52 to SM R12.7.

    Hi Rikash,


    The best option is still XPSExport and XPSImport.


    There aren't any other officially supported tools for the  policy migration until 12.7.


    12.7 now additionally has rest API for performing data migration.

    Just to add Ujwol,

     

    Below KB article explains steps for backup as well as migrate Policystore by removing environment specific data.
