Installing the UIM and Jasper database in the MS SQL Cluster

    I would like to know what I should consider to install the UIM and Jasper database in the MS SQL cluster. The reason for my query is that a client wants to know how much it could impact this installation in their cluster.

    HI can you provide more details on what impact they are asking about?

    The CABI / Jasperserver database does not hold or store a log of data.

    Basically it is hold permission settings and reports that are run in the application server.

     

    The UIM installation will very GREATLY depending on the number of alarms and qos you are collecting and the length of time your are storing it.

     

    UIM recommendation is to have a dedicated SQL server installation as sharing a SQL server can impact other application as well as having other application impact the UIM performance.
