  • 1.  Two resources, each has different hours per day

    Hello,

On a project, contractors work 8 hours per day and employees work 7.5 hours a day.

Contractors and employees work on separate tasks.

I have set their availability in Clarity Resources and populated hourly rate in the matrix.

How can I set different hours/day at the task level  (in MSP/Clarity)?

Then I'll assign the resources to these tasks to generate the cost-plan.

    Hi Mayank,

The number of hours to be worked on the Task is what we set as the ETC in the assignment (task level).

For example, Contractor A (8 hours/day) works for Task XYZ for 20 days then you need to set the ETC as 160 hours for that assignment. The cost will be calculated accordingly.

    Was this your requirement?

    Thanks,

    Jerin

    Mayank,

if you are planning in days (which it sounds like you are), when you populate the cost plan then it will use the "standard" calendar day length.  i.e. When using days It does not use the individual resources day length.

As Jerin suggests you'd need to plan in hours.

You need to switch to hours in the task views if your work effort is "Days"

    click configure

Go to options in the list menu

Set to hours (from system default)

Work effort is now recorded in hours
