Layer7 API Management

  • 1.  Application Reports Blank

    Hi Everyone,

     

    I've enabled the portal integration policy and portal metrics sync as per the documentation.

    I'm able to see values in the API reports but the application reports are empty.

     

    Anyone faced something similar?

    Shawn, 

     

    This doesn't sound like a configuration issue with Portal Metrics as you are able to see API Reports. So I have a couple questions:

     

    1. Is this happening with all applications? If you switch the specific application for the report, is it the same result? 

     

    2. Maybe this could be tied to a specific Org. If you switch the specific Org for the report, then chose another application under that new Org, is it the same result? 

     

    3. Can you ensure API's under that application are actually getting hit?

    Hi Alec,

     

    This is happening for all applications, all application reports are blank

     

    I've checked the results for multiple apps from different organization, all of them are blank.

     

    I'm using the application's API key to hit the endpoints.

    Thanks for the update. I would tail the catalina logs while you attempt to review the application reports and see if you're able to catch something in the logs that indicate whats going on. Feel free to upload them here and I'll see if I Can spot anything as well.

    Dear Shawn,

    You may also check the role of current login user.

    If I recall it correctly, the API owner can view the API report, the application owner can view the application report. They are usually 2 different users.

     

    You can also check if any error in the log of the sync script (portal.sh) on gateway,

    /opt/SecureSpan/Gateway/node/default/var/logs/portal_metrics.log

    Hi Mark,

     

    I was using the admin account when viewing the reports. 

     

    Is the report only available to the application owner?
