09/14/2017 09:59:57 AM from Chris Hackett (CA) to Everyone: Hi Everyone - We'll be starting in just a couple minutes.
09/14/2017 10:03:04 AM from Chris Hackett (CA) to Everyone: OK we're ready to start!
09/14/2017 10:03:12 AM from Patrick M Cooper to Everyone: There is a bug that was introduced in version 15.1 (OnDemand)) that prevents setting the default tab on the project view page. How can this be resolved without having to upgrade to 15.2? Will a patch be availble for this?
09/14/2017 10:03:30 AM from Nick Darlington (CA) to Everyone: @Patrick: Do you have the reference?
09/14/2017 10:03:51 AM from Patrick M Cooper to Everyone: What reference?
09/14/2017 10:04:14 AM from Nick Darlington (CA) to Everyone: @Patrick: Defects have a kb or defect ID
09/14/2017 10:04:44 AM from Chris Hackett (CA) to Everyone: In case anyone missed Janet's blog: PPM Insights: FIRST LOOK at CA PPM 15.3 you should check it out! https://communities.ca.com/community/ca-ppm/blog/2017/09/08/ppm-insights-first-look-at-ca-ppm-153
09/14/2017 10:04:58 AM from Julie Whitney to Everyone: What is the recommended method to import timesheet data provided from an external vendor? I see on the Communities 2 options of Transaction Import (not familiar with) and Transaction Entry (from Financial Management)
09/14/2017 10:05:07 AM from Patrick M Cooper to Everyone: We just discovered it but couldn't find a defect ID.
09/14/2017 10:06:10 AM from Nick Darlington (CA) to Everyone: @Patrick: Without a reference it would be best to raise a support ticket on that one so we can locate it - without one, there is certainly no potential patch information we can share about it, and to avoid misinformation we want to be careful in identifying the correct one
09/14/2017 10:07:17 AM from Nika Hadzhikidi (CA) to Everyone:
@Julie - you can enter the Transactions with Transaction Entry in UI, which would be manual, alternatively some customers opt for more automatic approach and get the data in a CSV file or such from the source tool and then import in CA PPM with GEL/XOG and a process.

09/14/2017 10:08:06 AM from Chris Hackett (CA) to Everyone: We're ready for more questions!
09/14/2017 10:09:21 AM from Patrick M Cooper to Everyone: I did open a case (00821524) but was told this is not the place to discuss support cases.
09/14/2017 10:13:14 AM from Chris Hackett (CA) to Everyone: Quiet group today...fire away...don't be shy:)
09/14/2017 10:13:16 AM from Nick Darlington (CA) to Everyone: @Patrick: That's not wrong, but I'll take an action to follow-up with you outside of this once I've had a chance to dig a bit deeper and see if we can't give you a better answer.
09/14/2017 10:13:33 AM from Patrick M Cooper to Everyone: Is it possible to edit the field names displayed in a power filter?
09/14/2017 10:14:11 AM from Julie Whitney to Everyone: I was able to set the front loading pattern on expense resources from our default of front to fixed. However, when I assigned these expense resources on the project task level, it disregarded my setting and used the system default. I did not expect this type of system behaviour. Please advise how the system is meant to work (classic PPM).
09/14/2017 10:16:00 AM from Karl Shlayfman (CA) to Everyone: @Patrick yes this is possible, you can go to Configure and Fields section to rename
09/14/2017 10:17:49 AM from Maria Whiteside (CA) to Everyone: @Julie: When you add a new assignment on a task, the Loading Pattern that this assignment will have is the system default that is set under Administration > Project Management > Settings.
09/14/2017 10:19:56 AM from Chris Hackett (CA) to Everyone: Anymore questions folks?
09/14/2017 10:20:25 AM from Patrick M Cooper to Everyone: The fields displayed in the power filter do not match the names in the edited Fields section. The edited Field names are displayed in the portlet column headings but not the Power Filter. For both List Column & List Filter sections.
09/14/2017 10:22:23 AM from Patrick M Cooper to Everyone: What controls the export to
09/14/2017 10:22:33 AM from Karl Shlayfman (CA) to Everyone: @Patrick small correction here, yes you are right. I had to go to the object->Attributes and rename attribute
09/14/2017 10:22:54 AM from Patrick M Cooper to Everyone: What controls the export to Excel sort order of a hierarchical portlet with 4 levels?
09/14/2017 10:23:41 AM from Julie Whitney to Everyone: @Maria, that is not the behaviour I want. As designed, this created a lot of manual effort and extra steps for me as PM to again override the global system default. Hoping the new UI experience for project management has a better way to handle this scenario. Thanks.
09/14/2017 10:24:10 AM from Patrick M Cooper to Everyone: The issues has been observed for a custom query/portlet combination. Which object attribute should be renamed?
09/14/2017 10:26:10 AM from Karl Shlayfman (CA) to Everyone: @Patrick are you not able to change field names in the query itself? Under Attributes tab
09/14/2017 10:27:07 AM from Martti K to Everyone: Regarding the question last time about the ciritcal path in PPM Gantt does the ciritcal path in Gantt match what is in the legend? To me it seems it does not.
09/14/2017 10:27:18 AM from Patrick M Cooper to Everyone: Yes, I can change the field names in the attributes tab but they are not reflected in the power filter list which still retains the original field name from the query.
09/14/2017 10:27:37 AM from Julie Whitney to Everyone: I read that there is a Timesheet Adapter add-on to core product. Is this adapter add-on attached to the Financial Transaction entry or into Timesheets?
09/14/2017 10:28:21 AM from Nick Darlington (CA) to Everyone: @Patrick: Regarding the Export to Excel with hierarchy, in general terms (regardless of levels) this thread may be of use if you haven't seen it: https://communities.ca.com/thread/100519287
09/14/2017 10:31:10 AM from Karl Shlayfman (CA) to Everyone: @Patrick I just tried a quick test with an existing query that I updated attriubute name with something else and put it on a quick Portlet and attempted to create a power filter and it showes changed name.
09/14/2017 10:31:49 AM from Nika Hadzhikidi (CA) to Everyone: @Julie, this add on is created by our Global Delivery team and you have to contact them for more questions on how exactly it works as it's not part of the core product we're experts on. Here is a page that contains the current adapters and what they do. Check the Financial Transaction Adapter, it sounds like that's what you are looking for. GD team will be also the one you can contact to order any adaptors
09/14/2017 10:32:02 AM from Nika Hadzhikidi (CA) to Everyone: https://www.ca.com/content/dam/ca/us/files/service-offering/ca-ppm-packaged-work-products.pdf
09/14/2017 10:32:30 AM from Patrick M Cooper to Everyone: Does it work for an existing query? Can you change the attribute in the existing query and have it reflected in the Power Filter?
09/14/2017 10:32:45 AM from Karl Shlayfman (CA) to Everyone: @Patrick I tried it on 15.2 environment, I would suggest you try once more and if still facing an issue feel free to open the case so we can investigate this on our side, perhaps there is something specific on your use case.
09/14/2017 10:34:02 AM from Karl Shlayfman (CA) to Everyone: @Patrick I did not know if that query was already tied to portlet, I just created new portlet after changing attribute name. Let me try this again now that it is in use
09/14/2017 10:34:05 AM from Patrick M Cooper to Everyone: Ok. I'm still on 15.1 so this could be another issue that requires me to upgrade to 15.2 when I'm not really ready to do that.
09/14/2017 10:39:05 AM from Karl Shlayfman (CA) to Everyone: @Patrick so I tried to change attribute name in the query after it is already associated with portlet and it is not reflecting in the power filter. Keep in mind it also is not reflected in the regular portlet filter either. So the only thinkg I can think of you could try would be to XOG out and make change and XOG back in.
09/14/2017 10:40:15 AM from Chris Hackett (CA) to Everyone: OK everyone we're going to start wrapping up. @Martti - We're looking into your question now.
09/14/2017 10:40:56 AM from Patrick M Cooper to Everyone: Ok. The XOG is a viable workaround. Thanks.
    09/14/2017 10:42:52 AM from Martti K to Everyone: @Chris - seee https://communities.ca.com/message/241998862-critical-path-in-152-ppm-gantt
09/14/2017 10:43:41 AM from Maria Whiteside (CA) to Everyone: @Martti: What you are seeing is the expected behavior. If you go look at the legend again, you'll see that there is a small green progress bar towards the top of the 'Progress Through Bar' icon. The forward looking arrows inside the blue bar is what indicates that this task is part of the Critical Path.
09/14/2017 10:44:42 AM from Chris Hackett (CA) to Everyone: That's it for today folks. Thank you for participating and join us back here in October!
09/14/2017 10:45:28 AM from Chris Hackett (CA) to Everyone: Thanks again everyone!
