  • 1.  SNMPGTW

    Hello,

     

    we configured new snmpgtw prob , according to prob log files looks like it works and sending trap ( no error or warning has found) . 

     

    But, we did not see the trap really going out, when we checked by wireshark if there is any communication on port 162 we did not find anything.

     

    Any suggest what cold be the problem ? 
    Version:

    Nimsoft 8.5

    SNMPGW 1.4

    we have ppm install on the hub server.

    Hi ,

     

    Does the "Sent" column in the status tab in snmpgtw probe show increasing values .Try restarting probe or nimsoft robot service where the snmpgtw probe is installed

    Hi,

     

    It looks like it works, the sent statistics increase and under failed it stay on 0, but the capture by wireshark reaming empty when snmp filter is on.

    Hi

    Confirm if wireshark is checking on correct interface 

    Can try sending manual test traps from same server (example using snmptrap) where snmpgtw probe is installed and see if you can see those traps  in wireshark

    Hi,

     

    I tried with awtrap and nothing came out.

    ( wireshark configured on the only interface that we have on the server) 

     

    any idea where could be the problem ?
