    I'm getting the following error:

"You are using a browser that is not supported by the Google Maps JavaScript API. Consider changing your browser"

I ran the debugger and saw this:

"The Google Maps API does not support this browser."

I tried getting an API key, but not sure if I added it right or if that was the issue.

    Any ideas?

Have you tried Chrome or FireFox?

Kinda in a position where neither is an option.

IE11 should work, according to Google.

However, it does say that Compatibility View is not supported – are you using that?

No I thought at first to put it in Compatibility View, but it didn't help, so I removed it.

Not sure about the GIS view but I've seen with IE 11 that it defaults to IE 7 compatibility when bringing up a new web page and you have to go into the developer tools to switch the version to something like IE 10 that works.  I don't use IE very frequently so I don't know the long term fix for that but something to try if you haven't already.
