Hello,

I thought the auto discovery process used the snmp information content in the trap.

I mean, when the trap for the not modeled device has been received and you have activate the auto discovering, it is going to use the snmp features in the trap, like community and SNMP version.

I have notice the trap for devices has been received in snmp_V2 (by sniffer detection) but the Spectrum discover, polling and modeled it in SNMP_V1. All the version are activate in the device, by why doesn´t it use the Version 2?

Someone please correct me if I am mistaken but I believe Spectrum converts v2 traps into v1 traps internally which may explain why it models devices using a v1 community string when Trap Based Continuous Discovery is enabled and it receives a v2 trap from an unknown device.
