  • 1.  What transport and data protocol we can use for messages coming and going to OpenMax?

    Hello Team,

     

    Is any one have worked on requests from open max and response to open max in its readable format?

     

    We have request and flow like EM->Open MAX->CBS. We want to remove CBS with Lisa so that Lisa can understand message coming from Open Max and then after processing it can response back to open Max.

     

    I am not even aware of Open Max in details.

     

    Please advise.

    Is this reference to OpenMax correct?  OpenMAX Overview - The Khronos Group Inc  

    This looks like a streaming (multi-media) type of protocol designed to transport audio, video and images. If so, this may require some sort of custom transport handler.

    If, indeed, it is what Joel has identified then reading the specification indicates that there is a specific protocol in play here, with pretty much an entire stack being specified.

     

    This would need a great deal of work to make this work, and it is not something that DevTest supports out-of-the-box.

     

    There are java bindings available (JogAmp.org - Java graphics, audio, media and processing libraries exposing OpenGL, OpenCL, OpenAL and OpenMAX ), but whether these could be leveraged sensibly is another thing.

    Even this term is new to us. We have asked project team to set up call for clear understanding of functionality.

    Bear in mind that, if he assumptions above are correct, then this is not a product that DevTest would support without considerable customisation work, if at all.

    If you go the customisation route then you can do this in-house, or ask CA Services to assist. Such activities would not be supported via the normal product support channels.
