Currently Spectrum having three 3 mainly used Severity / alarm type ( Critical , Major & Minor ) in HDFC Bank. We required one more severity ( Highly Critical ) to add in Spectrum in which the devices which are most critical for BANK will add for better and smart view.

Request you to check & confirm can we implement in ( Highly Critical ) alarm type or not.

Please create this as an Idea in the communities so it can be voted on and noticed by Product Management.

On a side note, you can use “green” alarms although they don’t have all of the same attributes and abilities as the critical/major/minor.

A common practice to prioritize alarms in the Alarms tab is to set the Criticality attribute 0x1290c to a higher value for your high critical models. Then, modify the alarm-table-config.xml file and add the column-devicecriticality-config.xml file to display the value of the Criticality attribute in the Alarms tab. Then you can set a primary sort on the Severity column and a secondary sort on the Device Criticality column. The alarms are the top of the list are the models with the highest impact for the severity.

Another potential customization you can do in order to bring some alarms to a higher level of visibility is adjust the color of alarms for certain event codes. This is done with customizations to "comm-color-config.xml" as well as "enumerated-severity-color-config.xml".

We implemented a custom "deep red" for certain events that are more critical in nature.

Severity is an attribute of the Alarm and not of the Device, so I don't see how would work for OOB with the current Event Configuration. I think ackjo04's suggestion is what you're looking for.

In addition to that, you can create your own Alarm display filters to show only devices that ar important to you - for instance devices that are in a Global Collection, where you can add them manually and decide which device is highly critical to you. Once you have them in a GC, you can create a SANM filter and have different notification profiles for them.

All of this can be done via configuration, without any customizaton or extensions.
