  • 1.  Can i skip to install API Gateway 9.2 CR1 to 9.2 CR4 patch ?

    Hi , I've upgraded API gateway to version 9.2 from version 9.1 

    Since the document mentioned it is cumulative release , i plan to install 9.2 CR5 patch only instead of install it according to 9.2 CR release sequence. 

    Will it cause any issue ?

    Hi There,

     

    Once you are on 9.2, you can install CR5 directly on it.

     

    You do not need to go through all the CR's installs.

     

    Do have a snapshot.backup before going there - just as a rule of thumb, backup before any major upgrade.

     

    As our patches are cumulative.

    In fact , I've opened a case 00862681 for CA support and i got the different answer . 

     

    Could you please check and confirm it ?

    I can confirm that Amit is right. These are cumulative, and you can install CR05 directly.

    Hello,

     

    I looked into that Support case you noted and found out that it was corrected on the 12th of October. It was handled by a newer team member, and his initial understanding was incorrect and has since been corrected.

     

    My apologies for the confusion. I can confirm along with other members in this community that the only prerequisite for a CR is the base version itself. So if you have 9.2, you can apply CR5 directly to it without needing any of the CRs that came before it. It's a "Cumulative Release" (CR), so the changes in CR5 include all the changes from the CRs prior to it.
