10/12/2017 10:00:06 AM from Chris Hackett (CA) to Everyone: Hi Everyone – We’ll be starting in just a couple minutes.
10/12/2017 10:02:55 AM from Chris Hackett (CA) to Everyone: OK Ready for questions!
10/12/2017 10:03:49 AM from Art Vendryes to Everyone: Is there a way to disable the ability of someone in the resource manager group from editing resource information?
10/12/2017 10:03:56 AM from Jim Medios to Everyone: Regarding ad-hoc reporting. Is there a way to create hyperlinks?
10/12/2017 10:05:35 AM from Liz Williamson (CA) to Everyone: @Art, if the resource manager group has Resource Edit, then there is no way to limit it
10/12/2017 10:06:03 AM from Santosh to Everyone: Regarding creating hyper links on project object: Is there a way to display an icon for hyperlink instead of displaying a long url on the project object edit page/List page?
10/12/2017 10:08:15 AM from Art Vendryes to Everyone: @Liz, there is no Resource Edit listed in the global rights for the group.
10/12/2017 10:08:59 AM from Art Vendryes to Everyone: I wasn't sure if there is an inherent right for the group
10/12/2017 10:09:56 AM from Patrick M Cooper to Everyone: Are the CA PPM REST APIs now supported in production environments?
10/12/2017 10:10:48 AM from Nika Hadzhikidi (CA) to Everyone: @Jim - This is not currently possible. However you can work on creating your own JS Studio reports instead for more flexibility.
10/12/2017 10:11:04 AM from Liz Williamson (CA) to Everyone: @Art, in the OOTB Group for Resource Manager there is a Resource - Edit All in global rights
10/12/2017 10:11:17 AM from Liz Williamson (CA) to Everyone: @Art, do you have a custom group?
10/12/2017 10:12:00 AM from Jim Medios to Everyone: Regarding ad-hoc reporting, are we able to change the background color or merge cells without using JS studio?
10/12/2017 10:12:09 AM from Art Vendryes to Everyone: No, we maintained the OOTB PMO Resource Manager group and Resource Manager group
10/12/2017 10:14:17 AM from Nika Hadzhikidi (CA) to Everyone: @Patrick, unfortunately the REST_APIS cannot at this time be used as this functionality is internal only. It's unsupported. Please check https://docops.ca.com/ca-ppm/15-3/en/reference/rest-apis for more information.
10/12/2017 10:16:09 AM from Art Vendryes to Everyone: it appears to be an instance right when the person is identified as the resource manager
10/12/2017 10:16:43 AM from Art Vendryes to Everyone: Resource - Self
10/12/2017 10:16:48 AM from Art Vendryes to Everyone: (auto)
10/12/2017 10:16:52 AM from Liz Williamson (CA) to Everyone: @Art, because the right is in the Resource Manager Group you would either have to remove the resource from the group, or remove the right from that group, and give global rights to all others, or create another group for the others who do need the right.
10/12/2017 10:17:03 AM from Art Vendryes to Everyone: ok
10/12/2017 10:17:26 AM from Art Vendryes to Everyone: That access right was Resource - Manager (Auto)
10/12/2017 10:17:26 AM from Liz Williamson (CA) to Everyone: @Art, it may be better for you to raise a case as this is getting complicated
10/12/2017 10:17:37 AM from Art Vendryes to Everyone: ok, I will do that
10/12/2017 10:17:54 AM from Santosh to Everyone: Apart from CA SaaS, Is it possible to host CA PPM in any of the public clouds (like AWS/Azure etc)? Or do we have any limitations from CA PPM product?
10/12/2017 10:19:57 AM from Patrick M Cooper to Everyone: .
10/12/2017 10:20:36 AM from Martti K. to Everyone: @Art If it comes with Resource Manager - Auto there is littely you can do. Create a custom field for that and give there rights through custom groups. The rights you wnant to give. Two groups if there are two levels of rights you need. DO not use the OOT Resoruce Manger field.
10/12/2017 10:22:52 AM from Nika Hadzhikidi (CA) to Everyone: @Santosh, it's possible but it's unsupported. Azure from what we have seen does not support multicast which is required for CA PPM to work.
10/12/2017 10:23:50 AM from Santosh to Everyone: Does AWS support multicast?
10/12/2017 10:25:09 AM from Patrick M Cooper to Everyone: Can the portlets on a custom tab-less portlet page be minimized?
10/12/2017 10:26:02 AM from Art Vendryes to Everyone: @Marti, thank you
10/12/2017 10:28:58 AM from Nika Hadzhikidi (CA) to Everyone: @Santosh, as far as we know, no. You might want to check with them if possible. We haven't seen many customers on those platforms.
10/12/2017 10:30:35 AM from Santosh to Everyone: @Nika, Thank You.
10/12/2017 10:30:37 AM from Patrick M Cooper to Everyone: Minimize question withdrawn!
10/12/2017 10:30:48 AM from Martti K. to Everyone: @Patric M Juste tested onm 15.2 Sandbox and can minimize an individaul portlet on a custom tab on Overview page
10/12/2017 10:32:05 AM from Patrick M Cooper to Everyone: Sorry, I pasted the wrong question. :(
10/12/2017 10:35:22 AM from Patrick M Cooper to Everyone: The Export to Powerpoint does not seem to work when there are more then on graph portlet on a custom freeform tabless portlet page. Only the first graph on the top row is exported.
10/12/2017 10:35:37 AM from Patrick M Cooper to Everyone: *one
10/12/2017 10:35:40 AM from Nika Hadzhikidi (CA) to Everyone: @Jim, the functionality of the Ad Hoc views and reports is usually restricted as it's meant to be something you create fast for the users. I don't think unfortuantely that changing the colors and merging cells will be easily possible. If you really need this we can raise a ticket with Jaspersoft and confirm with them if there is not some possible workaround. Otherwise we recommend for any reporting that requires additional functionality to use the Studio reports.
10/12/2017 10:37:16 AM from Jim Medios to Everyone: @nika, please raise a ticket regarding Merged cells, background color, and hyperlinks. We went through the customized reports training and couldn't find answers. A work around would be greatly appreciated.
10/12/2017 10:38:38 AM from Liz Williamson (CA) to Everyone: @Patrick, would you please raise a case for the PowerPoint issue? We have not found anything reported for it so far.
10/12/2017 10:38:46 AM from Nika Hadzhikidi (CA) to Everyone: @Jim - no problem, will verify that for you and let you know.
10/12/2017 10:39:27 AM from Chris Hackett (CA) to Everyone: OK - We're going to wrap up for today. We won't be having a session in November due to CA World but please join us back here in December. Thank you for participating today!
10/12/2017 10:39:42 AM from Art Vendryes to Everyone: thank you!
10/12/2017 10:39:48 AM from Chris Hackett (CA) to Everyone: Thanks again everyone!
