    Hi team,

     

    When I am installing UIM, I throw the following error.

    Hi,

     

    I don't know the IP of the machines you're trying to install that on, but that message:

     

    10.112.7.19:48000: Connection refused: connect

     

    indicates the robot on 10.112.7.19 is not installed or not running. If it is, then a firewall or something is blocking the access.

     

    Which log it is exactly and what are you trying to do?

    Can you attach your uimserver_ia_install.log and uimserver_systemprerequisites.properties

    these would be located in:

    C:\tmp\ca_uim

    or /tmp

    Hi Robert,

     

    My problem was for the Database user in the installation process. I was installing with a different SA user, and there were missing permissions on the new user.

    The customer finally decided to install with the SA user of BD.

    If you have a connection error I recommend you do the following:
    -Ping
    -Telnet
    If all is well, the telnet must answer you without problem. If you are using port 48000 by default, validate that there is no other application that occupies it.

    Tell me more about your mistake.

    Thanks for sharing that info.  Telnet and Ping is working fine between my hub and DB server.  I am able to create the DB during the initial phase of the install; but after about 37% the install times out.  After looking at another thread; I am thinking my issue is related to the UIM database connections to Sql 2014 not being supported over TLS 1.2 protocol.  I have asked the question over there as well, will hopefully get an answer soon.

    Are you using SA user or a different BD user?
    Did you check the CA UIM server host file?

    Hello there.

     

    We are using a user with SA permissions.  We also have the addresses for all the servers within our infrastructure (1 DB, 1 primary Hub and 2 secondary Hubs, 1 Portal) in the host file of every server just in case there is a DNS issue somewhere down the line.

    I recently ran into this issue/same errors during an installation and the problem was caused by entering the wrong/changed password for the SA user.
