Would like to give a chance for APM Admins/Customers/Partners to first respond on what they have done to meet this requirement.

    Thanks in advance

There are a couple of options available, depending on what you have available in your environment.

    • Are you using a disk management software like Symantec Veritas Volume Manager? Products like this will allow you to dynamically move volumes from one system/DC to another.
    • are you sharing the entire EM filesystem between Production DCs and DR, or just a subset of subdirectories?
    • Is your secondary DC just a hotfailover or is it Active/Active?

Already, I see from your description that you could have a potential data loss issue if your DC setup is Active/Active. You cannot easily combine that performance data from SmartStor from two EMs to one. That takes a lot of time, depending on their sizes.

Answering some of these questions in detail will help us to provide you with better answers to your needs.
