    Dear Popleys,

CR patch is application patch, just follow the same steps to apply an application patch,

Patch an Appliance Gateway - CA API Gateway - 9.2 - CA Technologies Documentation

FYI, cr06 for 9.2 is now available.

    Regards,

    Mark

Hi man, if you want to install cr05 on GW 9.2 follow these steps:

    -Upload file CA_API_Gateway_v9.2.00-CR05.l7p in /home/ssgconfig

    -chmod 755 CA_API_Gateway_v9.2.00-CR05.l7p

Verifiy that you have more than 75 % of space in /opt before upload the patch.

    -df -Ph | egrep "/opt|/tmp" | awk '{print $6, $5}'

(if you don't have some space, follow this guide:)
    https://communities.ca.com/message/241824202?q=space%20patches )

    STOPS ALL NODE IN GW

-Go to main menu and stop all node of GW 2->7 -> Stop the nodes

Now verify that the replication is off IN ALL NODES OF CLUSTER

    -mysql -e "stop slave;"

    -mysql -e "show slave status\G;"

Now follow the steps for upgrade the gw.

-Main Menu press 8 for Menu patches

    -upload the patch press 1:

    -select  CA_API_Gateway_v9.2.00-CR05.l7p press ok

    -install patch press 2

    -verify that all is ok.

-Reboot appliance in main menu press :R

    After reboot verify the version:

    rpm -q ssg

    ssg-9.2.00-7467_CR05.noarch

If you have a cluster, replace these steps identically in the other nodes.

    Bye

    Marco

    Hi Marco,

As you mentioned above, capture below highlighted for your reference.

You cited make the space with following link if ssg /opt folder doesn't have more 75%.But the below link does't have any thing as you mentioned because i have 40 % in opt folder and 3 % in temp.

(if you don't have some space, follow this guide:)

    Hi Marco,

One more thing I have noticed. As per your instructions installed the patch and got the successful msg and then rebooted the gateway and checked the version with rpm -q ssg command ,i noticed its not upgraded to cr5 and still I see the following version ssg-9.2.00-6904.noarch  . Pls advice.

Received the following msg after the upgrade but not really upgrade:

Patch ID CA_API_Gateway_v9.2.00-CR05 (Upgrades the CA API Gateway Software to version 9.2.00-CR05. This patch requires a reboot of the CA API Gateway Appliance after installation.) is UPLOADED, last modified on 2017-10-27T10:37:26-0700
    Patch operation completed successfully.

    Regards

Also Note that CR 6 just got released, So i would recommend installing CR 6 as it contains CR5 as well.
