    Posted Nov 02, 2017 08:06 AM

    Hey all,

I just did a fresh installation of uim for dev. After that i have successfully installed UMP without any error but i am unable to open UMP as it says connection timeout.

Port 80 is available , no firewall issue, connection to DB is healthy as well, there is internet connection as well.

Also no errors on WASP probe logs.

So , I am unable to find the issue. Kindly suggest a solution

    Thanx

    Anmol

Have a look in the portal.log, in the wasp directory - you will probably find something in there.

    Cheers

make sure you set the wasp loglevel to 3 and logsize to 35000 and restart

at loglevel 0 the default you may not see any errors.

this is expected behavior for a self signed SSL certificate.

When you enable SSL by default in UMP it generates a Self signed certificate to use.

if you do not want to use that you will need to follow the below documentation

Configure HTTPS in Admin Console or UMP - CA Unified Infrastructure Management - 8.5.1 - CA Technologies Documentation

to create a SSL cert request and submit that to a Certificate Authority such as godaddy or verisgn and have them generate a SIGNED SSL certificate and import that.

    thankew for the info.

Just one more thing , after configuring this my UMP integration with spectrum is hampered.

I tried port 443 as well but no luck.

Do i need to make any changes for that as well.

I believe to use SSL with this you will need a signed SSL cert not a self signed SSL cert.
