  • 1.  Alert needs to be generated from logmon if specific string not found

This is regarding logmon probe, usually we configure monitoring in logmon for specific string, if string not found then alert would be generated.

But now i need to know that whether we can configure monitoring of log file in such a way that if configured string not found in log file for specific time period then an alert should be generated.

what should i do when we need to configure alerting for a string if that won't exist for some specific time (Hours or days) in logmon.

In the watcher rule - advanced tab you need to activate the option:

    - Match on every run
